Introduction

This article explains why you may receive alerts and notifications in the MyConsumables web app. Alerts are designed to keep the right people informed about important updates and actions that may require attention.

Who Receives Alerts

Alerts are sent based on your role in the system:

  • Participants

    • Do not receive in-app notifications.

    • Mainly informed that something needs attention, such as low balance or order updates.

  • Providers / Coordinators

    • Receive in-app notifications.

    • May also receive email alerts, depending on the type of update.

    • Are notified when action or review is required.

Common Reasons You Receive Alerts

You may receive alerts for the following reasons:

  • Low stock alerts for participant consumables

  • Order updates, such as:

    • Order confirmed

    • Out for delivery

    • Delivered or collected

    • Unavailable Products
    • Order cancelled or unable to fulfill

  • Balance or budget updates related to NDIS/SAH

  • Requests for approval, such as:

    • Balance updates when a coordinator is connected

  • System messages, including important announcements or feature updates

How Alerts Work

  • Alerts are triggered automatically by the system when certain actions happen.

  • The type of alert you receive depends on:

    • Your role (Participant, Provider, Supplier)

    • The action that occurred (order, balance update, low stock, etc.)

Tips / Best Practices

  • Check your notifications regularly to avoid missing important updates.

  • If you are a Participant, use the red notification count as a reminder to review your account.

  • If you are a Provider or Coordinator, review alerts promptly to support participants effectively.

Troubleshooting / Common Issues

  • Not receiving alerts: Make sure your account is active and you are logged in with the correct role.

  • Too many alerts: Some alerts are system-generated and cannot be turned off, but they help ensure nothing important is missed.

  • Alert seems incorrect: Contact support with details of the alert you received.
